Gray Friday, Not Black

Well today is the day after Thanksgiving and a bit rainy and gray. I woke up to the flapping ears of Maude at 9:15, which was a lovely thing. She only sleeps this late when it is a low pressure system.

I can feel the energy of the people scrambling to get out and shop. What is it about people needing to start shopping at midnight of Thanksgiving, getting ready to drop the money on the big sales and the biggest shopping day of the year. Do you think the sales really will be better today than tomorrow?

I'm happy to have a slow day, a day off and try and gear up for a tomorrow board meeting, a meeting after that a meeting with the Truro Historic Commission and then a big fundraiser for 2 friends at Gallery Ehva in Provincetown. So...I should take it slow today. So if anyone is in the Cape this weekend, Saturday from 4 - 7 [November 27th] there is an event with over 170 pieces of art for sale in a silent auction. Great things. 100% of the money goes to Cyndi and Carla (see previous post)

I'm hoping to get over to Mary D'Angelas once a year sale at Silk & Feathers - and that's about it.

Grateful on the day after to share the holiday with great friends, great food, and good health.
