Drawing with graphite on Panel - first step

So, For the past 3 weeks, I've been working on some new Amaryllis paintings. I have done a few new things. I started out with a drawing with graphite and then I did a watercolor over it. Let that dry for a few days and then painted with encaustic paint.  An interesting surface and the watercolor bled through. There is a part of me that just likes knowing I still know how to draw. I really like painting and this somehow captures both.
